Bass guitar, also known as an axe. The bass guitar works closely with the drums to create the rythm section. The bassplayer is typically known as the "loser" of the group. But that's not always the case, there have been tons of amazing bass players, such as Les Claypool, Geddy Lee, Trevor Dunn, Flea, to name a few.
